It’s intriguing just how individual ones physical identity can be based on personal taste. From the hair on our heads to the clothes and body-art we permanently embed in our skin. The purpose of the project ‘Stripped’ was to create a dramatic study of physical identity by essentially taking away choice of appearance. From the original images, I spent hours upon hours on Photoshop editing out each individual hair, piercing and tattoo leaving behind a strangely perfect raw and vulnerable shell that is almost unrecognisable.
